Hi! Thank you for visiting my website!
I’m a Christian contemplative who writes as a spiritual practice. I write for change, for peace, justice and the Earth. I enjoy public speaking and leading contemplative retreats and labyrinth walks.
My books include the Revelation Series featuring the MAMs Book Club with Revelation in the Cave (2012), Revelation at the Labyrinth (eLectio Publishing, 2017), and Revelation in the Roots: Emerald Isle (All Things That Matter Press, 2022). Look for the fourth novel in this series Revelation on the Sea Island which recently was accepted for publishing. My latest novel, Mariah of the Wind, was published by All Things That Matter Press in 2023.
I’ve also written two nonfiction books including a memoir, Letters from the Earth (Higher Ground Books and Media, 2018), and Awakening: A Contemplative Primer on Learning to Sit (Higher Ground Books and Media, 2020).
My background includes a master’s degree in education, a bachelor’s degree in religion and sociology, teacher certification in secondary education, as well as special training in Leading Contemplative Small Groups and Retreats with Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation, Labyrinth Facilitator Training with veriditas.org and public speaking in Toastmasters for over 20 years.
I’m a member of First Baptist Church, Springfield, Ohio and enjoy gardening, photography, nature and playing a variety of musical instruments. I live with my husband Steve Schlather in Springfield, Ohio. We have two sons who live in Seattle and Los Angles.
